"ONE COUPLE, TWO FAITHS" WORKSHOPS

Pennington, N.J. – The complex issues involved in interfaith marriages will be explored in four Tuesday evening workshops beginning Feb. 10 at Pennington’s Har Sinai Temple, 2421 Pennington Road.
Sponsored by Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Greater Mercer County, the four "One Couple, Two Faiths” sessions cost $36 per couple, are open to the public and will be led by licensed clinical social worker Linda Kanner. Anyone interested in attending the Feb. 10, 17, 24 and March 3 workshops must pre-register by Feb. 3. The workshops will run from 7-8:30 p.m.
Among the topics to be covered are the impact of two different faiths on relationships; the religious identity of children; dealing with the expectations of the extended family; exploration of the beliefs and traditions of the family of origin and options available within the Jewish community.
