A Riccadonna’s Home Improvements employee reported someone slashed two tires on the business’s 1995 Ford F-150 on Jan. 1.
The incident was reported at 8:33 a.m., and police said they believed the damage occurred when the vehicle was parked overnight in the store’s rear parking lot. The damage is estimated at $200.
At 7:11 p.m. Jan. 12, a Dailey Place resident reported a package was taken from the residence’s front porch. The resident said the package was delivered Dec. 20, 2008, with the contents being valued at $340.44. An investigation is ongoing.
Marion Markowski, no age given, of Roosevelt Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a Jan. 16 incident at Pourman’s Pub.
Police received a call about a fight at 12:37 a.m., and reported finding Mr. Markowski challenging other patrons at the South Main Street bar. Staff members asked Mr. Markowski to leave twice; Mr. Markowski grabbed an employee after the second request, police said.
Police reported Mr. Markowski became combative with a police officer, and charged him.
Mr. Markowski was transported to Somerset Medical Center for a head injury before being transported to Somerset County Jail in default of $2,000 bail.
Michael Kessie, 42, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a traffic lane, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, driving without insurance, and refusal to submit to the breath test, following a Jan., 18 motor vehicle accident.
According to police, Mr. Kessie drove through barricades closing North Main Street near the intersection with Dukes Parkway at approximately 12:58 a.m. that day, and was stopped following the collision. The resulting sobriety tests revealed Mr. Kessie was intoxicated.
He was released to a family member following processing.
At 10:02 a.m. Jan. 18, a Somerset resident reported that her LG Dare cell phone was stolen while she was at the Pure Go Go lounge on South Street.
The cell phone, which is valued at $300, was entered in the National Crime Information Center database.
A South Main Street resident reported a burglary to his apartment at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 19. Police found no forced entry to the residence, though clothing, an Xbox, and a Sony DVD player were missing.
The items are valued at $420, total.
