By PBA Member Michael Bender
The Princeton P.B.A. 130, which represents the patrol officers of the Princeton Borough Police Department, will be taking part in the 2009 Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, February 28th in Seaside Heights. This is to raise money for the New Jersey Special Olympics.
The 16th annual Seaside Heights Plunge, has grown to more than 3,000 participants who travel from as far as Alaska to be a part of the fun. Costumes, arcades and thousands of spectators fill the day with excitement. Radio station NJ 101.5’s Big Joe Henry. “the Voice of the Plunge” broadcasts live from the Aztec Ocean Resort, site of the Plunge, with interviews, updates and a countdown to Plunge you won’t want to miss.
In an effort to raise money for this plunge into the frigid Atlantic Ocean, two members have setup donation pages, with a goal to raise $1,750 between them. Please visit the P.B.A. website at www.princetonpba130.org and scroll down to the links on the lower left to visit their pages.
