Two more matchups underway
Former basketball star Maurice Bahr and soccer, basketball and track standout Andy Ryba have advanced to the second round of the Montgomery High’s Greatest Athlete Contest.
Bahr received 79 percent of the vote to defeat Keny Whitney. Ryba received 84 percent of the vote to defeat Kelly Benke.
Two more first round matchups are now being voted on at NJGameOn, the Packet sports blog. In one matchup, former girls’ basketball star Nicole DeLarato, who scored more than 1,400 points in her career, will take on Travis Rickards, a standout in soccer, basketball and tennis. In the other matchup, former soccer, basketball and baseball star Derek Spencer faces former soccer, basketball and golf standout Mark Walsh.
