MONROE — No one was seriously injured Monday after a five vehicle accident that involved three motorcycles and two cars at the intersection of Cranbury South River and Docks Corner roads.
According to police, a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Janet Maughan, 56, of Old Beth Page, and a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Daniel Torlucci, 51, of Landing, were traveling north on Cranbury South River Road when they collided with an Acura, driven by Sharyn Markowitz, 63, of Monroe, who was traveling south. Ms. Markowitz had been trying to make a left turn onto Docks Corner Road, police said.
After the motorcycles crashed into the Acura, a BMW driven by Shawn Morrison, 20, of West Orange, which was traveling behind the motorcycles, crashed into the rear of Mr. Torlucci, police said.
A third motorcycle, driven by Deborah Demcak, 56, of Edison, was driving behind Mr. Morrison and crashed into the BMW, police said.
Ms. Maughan, Mr. Torlucci and Ms. Demcak were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, police said. None of the injuries were life threatening, police said.
