Princeton Township
James Farrell, 32, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle following an incident in a parking lot off of Route 206 at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 20. Police dispatched to the scene said they found Mr. Farrell in a disoriented state lying on the ground in the parking lot, after falling off the back of his truck. While conducting an investigation a small bag containing marijuana was discovered inside Mr. Farrell’s vehicle, according to police, who said they took Mr. Farrell to the University Medical Center at Princeton for treatment and arrested him. Mr. Farrell also found to have $1,411in active warrants out of Cherry Hill, Vineland, and Pennsauken, according to police.
George Rhodes, 30, of Lakeview Terrace, was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test following a traffic stop on South Harrison Street at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 22. Police said they determined that the vehicle’s registration was expired, and that Mr. Rhodes smelled of alcohol. Police said they arrested Mr. Rhodes following a field sobriety test.
Caroline Bush, 47, of Hopewell, was arrested during a traffic stop on Mountain Avenue at 7:35 p.m. Jan. 24, after it was discovered that she had an active $240 warrant out of Hopewell police said.
Ruth Ann Robicheau, no age or address available, was charged with theft by deception, credit card theft, and identity theft after it was discovered that she used the personal information of a patient at a local health-care facility to purchase more than $500 in goods and services, police said. After discovering the fraudulent charges the patient contacted police and told them that her personal information was used to open a line of credit. The investigation discovered that Ms. Robicheau, an employee of the health-care facility, stole the information and committed the fraud, police said. Ms. Robicheau was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Jan. 27 and arraigned in Princeton Township Municipal Court.
James Lewis, 22, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with theft by deception and fraudulent use of a credit card following a four-month investigation, police said. It was determined that Mr. Lewis impersonated a telephone company employee over the phone and stole the credit card information of a township resident, and used it to make $2,000 in fraudulent charges, according to police.
Princeton Borough
Josefa Esguerra, 38, of Tupelo Row, was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Nassau Street at 10:24 p.m. Jan. 23, police said.
Ryan Cassel, 19, Pitman, was arrested for having a $110 warrant out of Deptford following a records search during a traffic stop on Chestnut Street at 11:08 p.m. on Jan. 24, police said.
Leon Davila Sipaque, 33, of Nassau Street, was charged with defiant trespass and shoplifting after an incident at Panera Bread at 12:36 p.m. Jan. 26. Police arrested Mr. Sipaque after they received a report of a shoplifter and unwanted person at the Nassau Street business, according to a police report.
Duke Gamble, 62, of Trenton, was arrested for having $655 in active warrants out of Edison, Newark, and Princeton Borough following a pedestrian stop on Nassau Street at 5 p.m. Jan. 26, police said.
West Windsor
Christina Mellon, 22, of East Windsor, was arrested for DWI early Sunday morning after a traffic stop on Alexander Road near Carnegie Center Drive. Ms. Mellon was stopped for a broken brake light, police said, and a strong odor of alcohol was coming from inside the vehicle, police said. Ms. Mellon was subsequently arrested after she was found to be impaired, police said.
Raymond Garvey, 27, of Plainfield, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after a traffic stop Saturday night on Route 1 near Nassau Park Boulevard. Mr. Garvey was stopped for speeding, and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle, police said. An investigation revealed a small baggie filled with suspected marijuana on Mr. Garvey’s person, police said.
Julian Ramos, 26, of Philadelphia, was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop Saturday night on Quakerbridge Road near Clarksville Road. He was stopped for improperly displaying a license plate. Police smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the car, police said. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
Jessica Correa, 29, of Trenton, was arrested Saturday for shoplifting from Marshalls in the Windsor Greens Shopping Center. Loss prevention officers watched as Ms. Correa attempted to leave the store with $100 worth of merchandise without paying, police said.
Carlos Lopez, 29, and Edelmira Jimenez, 24, both of Trenton, were charged with shoplifting from Wal-Mart on Saturday. Loss prevention officers watched the two conceal $423 worth of merchandise and medicine and attempt to leave the store without paying, police said.
Joseph Marino, 23, of West Windsor, was arrested for DWI early yesterday morning after a traffic stop on Clarksville Road. Mr. Marino was pulled over for a broken headlight, and a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from the interior of the car, police said. He was then determined to be impaired and arrested, police said.
Montgomery
Kenya Taylor, 28, of Trenton, was arrested Jan. 25 for hindering prosecution after providing a false name to a police officer during a traffic stop on Great Road. After he was stopped for speeding, Mr. Taylor gave officers a different name, police said. His license was also determined to be suspended. He was arrested and served with a complaint summons for hindering prosecution and motor vehicle summonses for speeding and driving while suspended.
Scott Brogan, 25, of Hillsborough, was arrested for possession of marijuana Jan. 27 after a traffic stop on Zion Road. Mr. Brogan was stopped for going 54 mph in a 30-mph zone, police said. While speaking with him, officers observed the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said. A search of the vehicle and Mr. Brogan revealed two small baggies of marijuana and a marijuana smoking pipe. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of controlled and dangerous substance paraphernalia. He also received motor vehicle summonses for speeding and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
William Berdiales, 29, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant issued by the Atlantic City Municipal Court. Mr. Berdiales was stopped for failing to yield to oncoming traffic while turning from Benjamin Boulevard onto northbound Route 206, police said. After a check of his driving credential disclosed the active warrant, he was arrested. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Plainsboro
A Tennyson Drive resident was the victim of identity theft sometime between March 20 and Jan 28. Someone obtained credit with Sprint Nextel by using the victim’s Social Security number and providing a false address. Charges to the account totaled $541. The case is under investigation.
Richard Holloman, 38, of Newark, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Jan. 26. During a subsequent search, he was found to be in possession of a suspected crack pipe, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Raymond Lewis, 19, Andrew Esguerra, 19, and Felipe Velazquez, 23, all of Bensalem, were arrested after a traffic stop early Thursday morning on northbound Route 1. A silver 2004 Acura was stopped for weaving and having unclear plates, police said. Investigation revealed the vehicle had a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the passenger compartment, police said. Further questioning of the men revealed that Mr. Lewis was in possession of marijuana and Mr. Velazquez was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. The driver, Mr. Esguerra, was found to be in possession of marijuana, and driving under the influence of marijuana, police said. All three men were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance under 50 grams, and issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Mr. Velazquez was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Esguerra was also issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI and careless driving
Kelly Skeel, 41, of Ravens Crest Drive, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop Thursday evening on southbound Route 1 at Mapleton Road. Police stopped Mr. Skeel for failing to have the vehicle’s front license plate mounted. Investigation revealed that Mr. Skeel was wanted out of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Lon Newton Jr., 30, of Ravens Crest Drive, was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop early Sunday morning. Police stopped Mr. Newton for failing to observe a traffic signal at the intersection of Scotts Corner Road and Dey Road. He was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, reckless driving and failure to observe signal.
