West Amwell and Lambertville

   — On Jan. 19 at 4:50 p.m., police investigated a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Brunswick Pike near Wilson Road. Jazia Hammoudi, 19, of Princeton Township, was traveling west when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered roadway, and crossed into the eastbound lane colliding head-on into a vehicle driven by Timothy Rudderow Sr., 53, of New Hope, Pa. Ms. Hammoudi and a passenger, Charleton Lamb, of Morris Plains, were transported to the University Medical Center at Princeton by the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad with complaints of pain in their arms. Mr. Rudderow complained of neck pain, but declined transportation to a medical facility. Investigating Patrolman John Ennis Jr. determined that Ms. Hammoudi was traveling too fast for conditions. She was issued a summons for having an expired vehicle registration. Both vehicles were towed.
   — On Jan. 21, at 1:08 p.m., police went to Route 31, near Linvale Road, to investigate reports of a tractor-trailer traveling north that appeared to have struck a bridge. There was extensive damage to the top of the trailer. Patrols stopped the vehicle near the Route 202 overpass. It was determined that the trailer had been damaged in a previous accident and was being transported to a facility for repair. Police inspected the trailer, deemed it to be safe and allowed the driver to proceed.
   — On Jan. 22, at 7:27 p.m., police investigated a car/deer crash on Route 202 near the Mt. Airy Dilts Corner exit. Mark Vitcov, 43, of Holland, Pa., was going south when he struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken
   — On Jan. 23, at 3:15 a.m., police investigated a malfunctioning traffic light at Route 31 and Linvale-Harbourton Road. The traffic light was not changing. Due to the light volume of traffic, one officer stood by with traffic control for one hour until the problem was repaired by the state Department of Transportation.
   — On Jan. 23, at 8.32 a.m., police investigated a one-vehicle crash on Route 29 just south of the Lambertville City line. Theodore Easton, 64, of West Amwell Township, was going south when a right rear tire rapidly deflated causing him to lose control. He crossed the northbound lane and hit an embankment. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
   — On Jan. 23, at 8:34 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle crash on Route 29 just south of the Lambertville City line. Veronica McKinney, 38, of Trenton, operating a Chevrolet mini school bus owned by Student Transportation of America Inc., of Wall, was going south when she observed vehicles stopped in the roadway as a result of a previous accident. She attempted to stop, but said her brakes failed. She shifted slightly into the northbound lane and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Salvatore Mitrano, 52, of Titusville. No injuries were reported, including an aide on the bus, Sherita McKinney, 21, of Trenton. (No students were aboard the bus). The Mitrano vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken. The bus was towed due to alleged brake failure. No summonses were issued.
   — On Jan. 23 at 2:57 p.m., police investigated a two-vehicle crash on Route 31 near Rocktown Hill Road. Zachary Lubow, 17, of Hopewell, was going south when he saw a vehicle, being operated by Jennifer Charbonnet, 32, of Broomall, Pa., stopped in traffic, waiting to make a left turn into a private driveway. Mr. Lubow attempted to stop but struck the vehicle in the rear, Ms. Charbonnet complained of neck pain, but declined transportation to a medical facility. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Investigating Patrolman Timothy Vanselous issued Mr. Lubow a summons for careless driving.
   — On Jan. 23, at 3:30 p.m., police investigated a minor two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash on Rock Road East, just east of Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road. Deborah Phillips, 58, of Trenton, operating a International full-sized school bus owned by Student Transportation of America Inc., of Wall, was going east when the mirror of her bus was struck and damaged by a cement truck that was traveling west. The truck left the scene. Investigating Patrolman Vanselous located the cement mixing truck approximately one hour later. The driver, Kevin Stecchini, 65, of Hopewell, operating a truck owned by Clayton Cement of Lakewood, was issued summonses for careless driving, leaving the scene and failure to report a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. One student was present on the school bus at the time of the crash, a 16-year-old girl from West Amwell Township.
   — On Jan. 23, at 6:11 p.m., police investigated a car/deer crash on Route 31 near Linvale Road. Timothy Gulics, 28, of Flemington, was going north when he struck the deer. Mr. Gulics was checked by the Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps, due to air bag deployment, but declined transportation to a medical facility. The vehicle was towed. No summonses were issued by investigating Patrolman Vanselous.
   — On Jan. 23, at 6:40 p.m., police investigated a car/deer crash on Brunswick Pike near Corsalo Road. Livia Meszaros, 46, of Hopewell Township, was going east when she struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No summonses were issued by investigating Patrolman Goccia.
   — On Jan. 26, at 7:58 a.m., a wallet was located on Rocktown-Lambertville Road by a resident and turned in to police. Patrolman John Ennis tracked down the owner, Kyle Scammahorn, 36, of Brick. It was learned the wallet was stolen from Mr. Scammahorn last week at Ocean County College and the theft reported to the Toms River Police Department. Toms River Police Department were contacted of the recovery and township police will be assisting them in their investigation.
   — Elizabeth Beers, 46, of Lambertville, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. Lambertville Officer Michael Gramlich, who had been investigating Ms. Beers for an unrelated incident, found she had warrants for her arrest for failure to appear on both criminal and traffic charges. The warrants were issued by Morristown and Madison with total bail set at $1,150. Ms. Beers was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail where she was held in lieu of bail until she was turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Department.
   — James Maguire III, 30, of Hamilton, was taken into custody on an active warrant, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Officer Gramlich stopped Mr. Maguire on Route 29 at 3:30 p.m. for a traffic violation. A check revealed the warrant, which was issued by North Wildwood for failure to appear. Mr. Maguire was later released on $175 cash bail.
