Registration for computer classes for seniors, sponsored by the Hillsborough Education Foundation, is underway. The classes begin March 3, and are free of charge and open to residents 60 years of age or older. Camplain Volunteer Fire Company no. 2 in Manville is sponsoring a fundraising bus trip to the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races at Darlington Raceway. The trip will depart Manville on May 7, returning on May 10th. The trip includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation from Manville; one night lodging at the Hampton Inn in Fredericksburg, Va.; two nights lodging at the Hampton Inn in Fayetteville, N.C.; transportation to and from the race track and race tickets. The Avalon Assisted Living at Hillsborough residence on Amwell Road will mark National Wear Red Day for the American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 6. To help the AHA, the residence will be selling “Wear Red Dress Pins” for $5 each, as well as a delicious bakery items will be for sale. All proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. Hillsborough High School Project Graduation is looking for donations of gowns and evening wear especially prom dresses for a fundraising dress sale. Dresses in all sizes from children’s to junior, missy and women’s will be welcomed. Donated dresses must be in a current style, clean and on a hanger. The sale will be held Feb. 7 at the high school. The 13th Annual Mardi Gras Parade of Baskets to benefit the children of Amsterdam Elementary School will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 27th.
