GIRLS LACROSSE 
   PG Lax (Princeton Girls Lacrosse) has opened its online registration for the 2009 spring lacrosse season.
   PG Lax will have three team levels — 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade, and the season will run from early March to early June. Practice will take place two afternoons a week with games usually held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. All girls from beginners to advanced are welcomed.
   PG Lax offers an eight week clinic for girls in kindergarten through second grade to be held once a week in April and May. The program cost is $80.
   PG Lax registration fee is $295, which includes all league and club fees and a uniform. Registration forms can be down loaded from the PG Lax web site (pglax.com), and hard copies are available at the Princeton Recreation Department. Registration will close on Jan. 31, 2009.

LIGHTNING LACROSSE 
   Registration is now open for the spring 2009 season of Lightning Lacrosse. The Lightning Lacrosse Club is one of the area’s largest and oldest youth lacrosse organizations and is open to boys and girls from Cranbury, Plainsboro and West Windsor in grades K-8.
   There is also a Little Laxers program for boys and girls grades K-2, which returns along with travel teams for kids in grades 3-8. The club’s programs focus on learning the game, sportsmanship and teamwork.

ELITE THROWING 
   The Elite Throwing and Development training is geared to help get throwers arms ready for the spring season. The training program can help generate more velocity and greater distance on throws. No matter the sport, no matter the age group, the program is designed to help.
   The program has access to a facility in Hillsborough classes are for both youth and high school athletes.

CPLL REGISTRATION
   Registration for the 2009 Cranbury-Plainsboro Little League baseball and softball season is now open to all new and returning boys and girls ages 5-12 who live within Cranbury and Plainsboro. Age eligibility is determined by a player’s birth date.
   Beginning with the Spring 2009 season, CPLL only accepts online registrations. New (non-returning) players who register online must separately mail in a copy of their birth certificate, medical insurance, and proof of residency (i.e. utility bill). A returning player is defined as “one who has participated in baseball or softball for the Cranbury-Plainsboro Little League (CPLL) in one of the preceding Spring seasons.”

U-10 SOFTBALL 
   The Montgomery Jaguars under-10 softball team is in need of two players to complete its roster.

U14 BASEBALL 
   A Mercer County under-14 baseball team needs three more players to complete its roster. The team will play in the Dave Gallagher U14 spring league and USABL Jersey Shore Summer League. The team will be managed by a former St. Louis Cardinals Minor Leaguer. Off-season workouts begin in January and will end when the season begins.

HOOPS CLINIC 
   West Windsor-Plainsboro High South will be hosting its 4th annual Back to the Basics Basketball Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 7. There will be two sessions, with players ages 7-10 from attending from 8:30-10 a.m. and players ages 10-13 from 10-11:30 a.m.
   The cost is $20 per player to be paid in the gym. All attendees should bring their own basketball. The clinic will emphasize the teaching and reviewing of dribbling, shooting, passing and layups — the offensive fundamentals to becoming a great player.

WW-P BABE RUTH 
   Registration for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Babe Ruth Baseball spring 2009 season is open through Feb. 22. This league is for boys 13-15 years old as of April 30, 2009. Visit the league website at www.wwpbaberuth.org and fill out the required forms to complete your registration. Don’t delay, a late fee of $50.00 will apply after Feb. 28.

JUGGLING PROGRAM 
   The Princeton Recreation Department and Juggling Life are teaming up to offer juggling instruction beginning Feb. 18. There will be three classes each week split up into three age groups. The program is open to interested Princeton Township and Borough residents ages eight and older. The first class is a free workshop open to all interested Princeton residents.
   The classes will meet on Wednesday nights at the Princeton Community Village Clubhouse. Space is limited and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
   Registration forms can be downloaded from the Princeton Recreation Department website or picked up at the office, located at 380 Witherspoon Street.

MONTY SOCCER 
   Registration is now open for the spring 2009 season of the Montgomery Township Soccer Club Youth Development Program. This soccer program is available to all youth 5-9 years of age, regardless of their skill level or experience.
   Professional trainers and trained volunteers will guide players through a curriculum which emphasizes development over winning, player time on the ball, small sided games as a teaching approach and fun. Optional “travel” is offered to older players to play other clubs.

SPAGHETTI DINNER 
   The Princeton High School boys basketball team is hosting its first Family Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 11 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Take a break from cooking and join the team for a night of great food. The event will be held in the Princeton High cafeteria. The cost is $8 per person in advance, $10 at the door, and $5 for children 12 and under. All proceeds go to the PHS basketball booster club.
