EAST WINDSOR: Township police probe vehicle break-ins

   EAST WINDSOR — A rash of vehicle break-ins occurred in the parking lot of the Princeton Arms Apartments over two nights in the last eight days.
   Four owners reported that their vehicles were entered and items were stolen in the overnight hours of Jan. 29-30, with another five owners reporting the same thing happened on Feb. 2-3. All the vehicles were unlocked, police said.
   On Jan. 29-30, the owner of a 2000 Hyundai Elantra said $10 in cash was stolen. The owner of a 1984 BMW 528 reported a Sony stereo valued at $300 was stolen. The owner of a 1997 Dodge Caravan said loose change and a Leatherman tool valued at $50 was taken, and the owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier said a digital camera, GPS unit and loose change with an approximate combined value $605 were gone.
   On Feb. 2-3, the owners of a 2001 Toyota Corolla and a 2005 Toyota Camry reported that the contents of their vehicles were disturbed but nothing was stolen. The owners of a 1990 Honda Accord and a 1989 GMC Jimmy reported that loose change valued at less than $5 was stolen from their vehicles, and the owner of a 1993 Ford Ranger reported that loose change totaling about $30 was stolen.
