Calling All Campers!! Registration is open and there’s plenty of space at Fernbrook Farms Education Center’s Summer Day Camp program. You can see our camp first hand or register at our Open House on Sunday, February 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. You can also register for Spring Camp (April 13-17).
During a typical week at Fernbrook Farms Summer Camp children may find themselves exploring the ponds and creeks, collecting vegetables, making musical instruments, learning about wilderness survival and wishing the day wouldn’t come to an end. From 8:30 am to 4 pm, campers can choose the activities they want to participate in and there’s always brand new ones to pick from every day! Guided by experienced staff in groups of no more than ten, all activities help children see the connections that can be made between agriculture, the natural world and themselves. Summer day camp runs from July 6 to September 4 for children ages 6 to 11.
New this year we are holding Summer Enrichment sessions for children ages 12 to 14. These sessions will include field trips and provide more in depth study into agriculture and our environment. This weekly program is scheduled for July 6-31 and August 10-September 4. Space for this program is very limited.
“At Fernbrook Farms summer program kids gain immense confidence because they learn that they can succeed,” said Larry Kuser, Executive Director.
