With science and science education once again national
priorities, the Science Fair has a renewed excitement. This
year the Mercer Science and Engineering Fair will be held
from March 14-19 at Rider University. Last year the Fair had
a total of more than 500 projects in the Elementary, Junior,
and Senior Divisions.
Winners in numerous categories receive prizes and awards for
their work, and the Senior Grand Prize winners from the
Mercer Fair get an expense-paid trip to enter the Intel
International Fair to be held on May 10-15 this year in Reno,
Nevada.
Students wishing to enter must start their applications on-line
at the Mercer Science and Engineering Club Web Site
www.mercersec.org.
Students, or their teachers, should sign up on the above
Website for an account and familiarize themselves with the
schedules, rules, and procedures before starting the project.
They are all listed there. We have designed the registration
process to assist you in determining which forms are necessary
and to guide you in filling them out. Junior and Senior
division students should not begin their experimental work
until after all the necessary forms are filled out and signed.
The deadline for Junior and Senior Division online
applications, including the final abstract,. is March 2. The
Elementary Division deadline is March 9.
