The Hun School of Princeton Launches 1Card with CardSmith
Princeton, NJ – The Hun School of Princeton and CardSmith LLC announced today the launch of a new, multi-function ID Card program – the 1Card for the School’s students, parents, staff and other stakeholders. The enhanced ID card features “Raider Cash”, a pre-paid spending account students can use to make purchases at the campus bookstore, dining hall, snack bar, concession stand, vending machines, laundry rooms, and selected local businesses.
Parents and students can access Raider Cash accounts 24/7 from a dedicated on-line account center to view transactions, add value, establish automatic allowances, and more. Raider Cash also features the new “Raider Rewards” program that provides additional benefits for Raider Cash purchases at the campus bookstore. Additional information about the program can be found at: www.hunschool.org/parents/RaiderCash.asp.
“The 1Card is an exciting new program for the School” said Richard Fleck, chief financial officer. “When we started looking at doing a card program, the objective was to streamline our bookstore processes and have better tracking for dining operations. Once we got started, we saw the opportunity to make the campus virtually cashless, and provide additional convenience and control for parents, students, and staff. Now that we’ve implemented Raider Cash, there’s almost nowhere on campus students can’t use their 1Card. And, some of their favorite in-town businesses also welcome our card. The response thus far has been very positive, and we think it’s going to keep growing from here.”
“The Hun School of Princeton is a special institution with rich tradition and culture,” said Jay Summerall, CardSmith president. “We have really enjoyed working with the professional team there to create the 1Card program. It’s been a team effort, and the result is a very comprehensive campus card program. We are looking forward to building and enhancing the 1Card for a long time.”
Added Fleck: “We are very pleased with the service from CardSmith. They managed the process from start to finish and made it as simple as possible for us. I don’t think we could have done so much, so quickly with another company.”
