SAFE in Hunterdon Adds New Team Member

By SAFE in Hunterdon
FLEMINGTON, NJ, FEBRUARY 10, 2009– To continue its efforts in increasing community awareness and funding for programs that support victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, SAFE in Hunterdon welcomes Andrea Lovas as its new manager of donor relations and events. Andrea comes to the agency with experience in public relations and event planning, as well as a background as a non-profit volunteer for child advocacy organizations in Warren County.
As SAFE in Hunterdon seeks to broaden its reach into the community and continue to establish itself as a trusted haven for individuals and their families, Andrea will work to build SAFE’s community relationships through media outreach and fundraising events. In deepening SAFE’s ties with the many generous sponsors and donors, Andrea will ensure they are recognized for their dedication to SAFE and understand just how their donations are helping the families of Hunterdon County. The community is also urged to keep an eye out in the coming months for exciting changes on SAFE’s website, which will be updated with a new look, more resources and information and donor profiles.
“Andrea brings a wealth of experience as well as a strong commitment to the mission of our organization, making her the ideal person to take on this new role within SAFE,” said Kimberly Spangenberg, the agency’s executive director. “She possesses the knowledge, creativity and drive necessary to engage the community to team with SAFE so that together, we can continue to support and provide quality services and programs.”
In 2009, even as many bear the weight of a weakened economy, there are still others who suffer more deeply. As members of this community, there are many ways you can team with SAFE in Hunterdon to help victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Together with SAFE, you can give a voice to those not heard, provide safe shelter for those who are need, lend an ear to victims and survivors who reach out and participate in fundraising and awareness events.
