“Dig It! The Secrets of Soil” is the theme for the 2009 Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the Freehold Soil Conservation District and the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts.
Students from Middlesex and Monmouth counties are encouraged to learn about the importance of soil in everyday life and to illustrate their ideas.
Cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded.All first-place winning entries will be submitted for state-level competition, and one grand champion poster will be selected and reproduced on a pocket-folder for statewide distribution.
