Rider University will hold a Spring Festival to celebrate the Chinese New Year on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center Cavalla Room on the Lawrenceville campus, 2083 Lawrenceville Road.
This year, the University will welcome the year of the Ox with a variety of Chinese activities and performances by students. The event is being organized by Asian Students at Rider and visiting students from Sanda University, a private university in Shanghai, China.
The event will feature activity booths and hors d’oeuvres from 2 to 3 p.m. Activities will include paper cutting, calligraphy, lamp making, Chinese painting and games.
Performances will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and will feature YingHua Day School, martial arts, a Hong Kong slide show, a drum performance, poem recitals and songs.
