Mr. Della Pietro, 85, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died Feb. 8, 2009, at home. He was a heavy equipment operator at Hazlet Township Road Department and the owner of Curly and Sons Clean-up, retiring in 1986. Prior to that, he was a machine operator at Atco Tile, Keyport. Mr. Della Pietro was predeceased by his wife, Alberta R. Comerford, in 2008. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Frederick and Pat Della Pietro Jr. of Keansburg, and Thomas Della Pietro of Hazlet; a daughter, Grace Wiggett of Hazlet; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Feb. 12 at 8:15 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment will follow at the church’s cemetery.
