HILLSBOROUGH: Police blotter

   James Amick, 38, of Roselle, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, use of cell phone and failure to maintain his vehicle’s lights after police pulled him over for drifting over to the fog line and the center line, and for using a cell phone while driving on Route 206 at 12:19 a.m. Jan. 25.
   Mr. Amick was taken into custody after he failed several field sobriety tests. At police headquarters, he was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.10 percent.
   New Jersey law defines a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher as intoxicated.
   Mr. Amick was also found to have several outstanding warrants out of Scotch Plains Township and Hoboken City.
   Mr. Amick was processed and released to the custody of a friend after paying bail for the warrants.
   The owner of Massage Envy, on Falcon Road, reported that someone broke the glass of the front door and stole about $14,060.50 from the business sometime between 9:45 p.m. Jan. 25 and 7 a.m. Jan. 26.
   The damage to the door was valued at $1,700.
   Ryan Shaw, 23, of Manville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, suspended driver’s license, failure to keep right and careless driving after he was pulled over for driving 50 mph in a 35-mph zone, and crossing over the double yellow lines on Sunnymead Road at 10 p.m. Feb. 3.
   Mr. Shaw was taken into custody after police found a wax fold for heroin in the center console of the vehicle.
   Mr. Shaw was processed and released.
