Mrs. Coppinger, 78, of Hazlet, died Feb. 3, 2009, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was a factory worker at Western Electric, Kearny, for 10 years. She was also a waitress at Sophie’s Greenville Garden, Jersey City, for 30 years, and a school lunch aide in Jersey City for 10 years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Coppinger was predeceased by her husband, Edward; a son, Edward, in 1986; and six siblings. She is survived by two daughters and sonsin law, Denise and Rocco Tango of Old Bridge, and Ruth Ann and Eugene Hickey of Keyport; a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Lorraine Varga of Florida; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Brennan of Hazlet; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
