Mr. Carroll, 52, of North Brunswick, died Feb. 3, 2009, at home. He was the first animal control officer in North Brunswick Township, where he worked for the past eight years. Prior to that, he was a research technician for Hoffman LaRoche, Nutley, for 15 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Delanoy Carroll; and a brother, William Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Robin Schornstein Carroll; five sons, Jay Jr., Billy, Max, Matthew and Zachary; two daughters, Sarah and Dominique; his father, William L. Carroll of New Brunswick; two brothers and one sister-in-law, David and Paula Carroll of North Brunswick, and Christopher Carroll of Old Bridge; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joy Carroll of North Brunswick, and Judy and Robert Zancanella of Bayville; a sister-in-law, Michelle Carroll of Perrineville; and a grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Burial followed at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
