JACKSON — Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at a Sunoco gasoline station at 2 North County Line Road at 4 p.m. Jan. 30.
Police said the suspect is described as a white male about 24 years old with a heavy build. The suspect is described as having short, dark hair with sideburns and goateestyle facial hair, and thin, dark eyebrows. He has a deep voice and is right-handed.
Police said the suspect confronted an attendant with a small handgun and demanded cash. The attendant did not give the suspect any money. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark-colored midsize vehicle. No license plate was observed. The vehicle may have been a Hyundai.
