Mr. Dougan, 67, of Union Beach, died Feb. 9, 2009, at home. He was a carpenter and engineer at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York City. He was also a mail handler at the U.S. Postal Service in Eatontown for 24 years. Prior to that, he was a chief engineer at Sovereign Hotel, New York City. Mr. Dougan is survived by his wife, Rosaleen Walsh Dougan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Dawn Dougan Jr. of Hazlet, and Christopher and Winifred Dougan, and Peter and Patricia Dougan, all of Union Beach; a daughter and sonin law, Rosaleen and Brendan Greene of Union Beach; a sister, Kathleen Boltan of England; and 14 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.
