The United Way of Ocean County will hold its Winter Gala Ball on Feb. 27 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club, Lakewood
This year’s recipient of the Community Caring Award will be the employees of Exelon Oyster Creek, who raised a recordbreaking $275,000 to support the programs of United Way of Ocean County.
The presenting “diamond” sponsor of this year’s ball is OceanFirst Foundation, which has been a major supporter of critical programming for residents of Ocean County through United Way programming since it was founded in 1996.
Ocean County-based companies that take a hands-on approach to helping people in the communities in which they do business also sponsor the ball. Sponsors include Exelon Oyster Creek; TD Bank; the Novins, York, Pagano, Jacobus & Seems law firm; Paul and Diane Rhine; Cowan Gunteski & Co.; Sun National Bank; Sovereign Bank; JCP&L; New Jersey Natural Gas; and Causeway Family of Dealerships.
The Winter Gala Ball promises to be a memorable event featuring a Corinne Jewelers “Hearts on Fire Fulfillment” pendant valued at $4,999 to be raffled off, and a silent auction featuring items such as a D’Angelica guitar, a $2,500 radio advertising package, a luxury suite at the Lakewood Blue Claws for the Mother’s Day home game, Flyers-Rangers tickets, and much more.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit over 100,000 residents and over 40 social service programs across Ocean County.
