Alice M. Huff, 85, of Forksville, PA passed away Friday, February13, 2009 at Darway Nursing Home.
She was born March 8, 1923 in Forksville, PA the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel Baker Hart.
Alice graduated from Estella High School in 1940 and Mansfield University in 1944. She was a member of the Millview Wesleyan Church and belonged to their Quilting Club, and was employed at several schools in the NJ School Systems, Smithfield Twp. School, and Upper Freehold Twp. School as a Teacher.
She is predeceased by her sister Doris Mitteer of Montoursville, PA.
Alice is survived by her husband of 62 years Alfred, her children Deborah and Andrew McCabe of Manahawken, NJ, Frank and Marilyn Huff of Montoursville, PA, William and Sylvia Huff of New Egypt, NJ, Ethel “Dee” and Robert Tarcza of LaPorte, PA and Stephen Huff of Puyallup, WA, Rebecca Steele and Fiancée Vito Ciampa of Trenton, NJ and Darrell Huff of Stewartsville, NJ, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings and in-laws Mildred and William Frazier of Muncy Valley, PA, and William and Nancy Hart of Forksville, PA.
Friends and family may call on February 21, 2009 at the Millview Wesleyan Church, Rt. 87, Millview, PA from 12pm – 2pm. Memorial services will follow at 2pm with the Rev. Eric Ferguson officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home, 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
