My First Place, a hit television program for Home & Garden Television (HGTV), is casting in the greater Philadelphia area for its sixth season.
High Noon Entertainment, the show’s producer, is currently accepting applications and shooting through the summer of 2009. My First Place is looking for fun, high-energy people who are just starting the home-buying process in search of their first place.
The show chronicles first-time homebuyers’ struggles and successes as they go through the process of searching for, bidding on, inspecting and ultimately buying a home for the first time. Aided only by a realtor and a friend or family member to help them along the way, newbie homebuyers learn to balance what they want with what they can afford in each half-hour episode.
“Our goal is to be there with cameras from the beginning to capture all the challenges and decisions of every step of the home buying process,” said Sarah Finley, casting associate at High Noon. “It’s exciting for the homebuyers and for the producers because we get to be a part of this amazing first-time experience.”
Homebuyers who are featured on the show will also receive a surprise housewarming gift that HGTV selects just for them.
