By Har Sinai
Har Sinai Temple of Pennington is seeking volunteers needed to prepare, serve, sponsor or clean up in connection with its annual contribution to the Sunday "Lord’s Table " meal served at Trenton’s Church of the Sacred Heart. The community outreach meal has become an annual event for Har Sinai, whose members prepare food in their homes that is served at Sacred Heart’s midday meal for 175-200 needy adults and children at the church’s 343 S. Broad St. location.Although this year’s meal is set for March 22, volunteers are necessary both before and on that date.Cooking volunteers are asked to cook, slice and freeze 10 pounds of brisket in a foil container, alongwith the brisket’s gravy. Since there is no means for cooking the food at Sacred Heart, volunteers also are needed for preparing the food at the Union Fire and Rescue Squad on River Road in Titusville from 10 a.m.to noon on March 22. Members of the Har Sinai Men’s Club will then transport the food to the Trenton church In Trenton on March 22, volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the meal from 11:30 a.m.to 1:30 p.m. or serve and clean up afterwards from 12:30-2:30 p. Anyone who would rather contribute financially to the outreach meal can do so for $3 (forone meal), $18 (six meals), $36 (12 meals) or $72 (24 meals). Volunteers and contributors should contact Mary Kirsch at [email protected].
