Princeton Borough
   Evan Liam Callahan, 20, of West Windsor, and Kaleanna Esquerra, 19, of Tupelo Row, were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of alcoholic beverages by minors following a traffic stop on Paul Robeson Place at 6 p.m. on Feb. 7, police said. Mr. Callahan was also arrested for having a $283 warrant out of Seaside Heights, according to reports.
   Jesse Won Carter, 27, of John Street was arrested for having a $255 warrant out of Edison following a traffic stop on Broadmead Street at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 13.
   Brianne McGovern, 22, of Montgomery was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Nassau Street on Feb. 14 at 2:15 a.m., police said.
   James Carlton Wells, 26, of Maple Terrace was arrested for having a $68 warrant out of Princeton Borough following a pedestrian stop on Witherspoon Street at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, police said.
West Windsor
   The Mercer County Community College reported a theft from its campus that occurred between 4 p.m. Feb. 11 and 11 a.m. Feb. 12. Someone stole a saxophone, valued at $2000, from an unlocked music room.
   Saad Sabir, 20, of Lawrenceville, was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop late Wednesday night on northbound Route 1 at Quakerbridge Road. Police stopped a 1999 Honda for a nonfunctioning brake light. While speaking with Mr. Sabir, an officer noted a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car, police said. Mr. Sabir consented to a search of the vehicle, police said, and under 50 grams of marijuana was found in aluminum foil. Mr. Sabir was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was also given motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lamps and failure to exhibit driver’s license. He was processed and released pending a Feb. 25 court date.
   Ryan Danyo, 18, of Lawrenceville was charged with shoplifting from Wal-Mart in Nassau Park Saturday afternoon. He is accused of concealing two movie DVDs and exiting the store without paying. The items are valued at $184.84.
   Three members of the St. Lawrence University squash team — a resident of London, a resident of Wyndmoor, Pa., and a resident of Southport, Conn. — were victims of a theft while staying at the Hyatt Place for a local squash tournament. Between 3 and 3:45 p.m. Saturday, someone entered the victims’ rooms and stole three iPods, a digital camera and a laptop computer. It is unknown how the perpetrator entered the hotel room, and there was no evidence of forced entry. Total value of the stolen items was approximately $2,100.
   A Hightstown resident was the victim of a theft that occurred between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday at Panera Bread in the Nassau Park Retail Center. The victim’s wallet was stolen after she placed it down on a counter in the restaurant. The victim later determined that one of her credit cards in the wallet had been used fraudulently. Total value stolen was approximately $50.
Montgomery
   An unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a Sycamore Avenue was entered early Sunday morning while the owner was inside his parent’s house gathering more items to load in the car. The owner confronted the individual, described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt or coat with the hood up. The suspect walked away on foot, headed east. The victim then heard a car start up and saw taillights driving toward Montgomery Road. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
   Carly Hall, 44, of Montgomery Township was arrested Wednesday on an outstanding warrant. She was wanted out of New Hampshire for theft by unlawful taking, specifically stealing a horse from a stall. The Nottingham, N.H., police contacted the Montgomery Township Police Department to assist with their investigation. Police tracked Ms. Hall to a residence on County Route 601 where she was taken into custody without incident. Ms. Hall was transported to police headquarters and charged as a fugitive from justice by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. She was lodged in the Somerset County Jail on $50,000 bail awaiting extradition to New Hampshire.
   Derek Myers, 34, of Mt. Vision, N.Y., was arrested at about 11 a.m. Jan. 16 along Route 206. Myers was driving with his family when he was pulled over for a suspended registration, police said. During the stop, an officer detected a strong odor of unburned marijuana, police said. A search revealed two bags of suspected marijuana; a bag of psilocybin mushrooms; an Altoid container with two pills of suspected oxycoton; and two pills of marinol, police said. Mr. Myers was transported to police headquarters and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in the third degree, one count of marijuana possession under 50 grams, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 with a 10 percent option. Mr. Myers posted bail and is set to appear in Somerset County Superior Court.
   Workers from a business located on Reading Boulevard reported an attempted theft of a vehicle last Tuesday. They found a vehicle had been entered and the ignition had been tampered with and damaged. Detectives from the Montgomery Township Police Department also responded for physical evidence collection.
   Plainsboro
   Luis Maldonado, 45, of Hamilton was charged with DUI and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop early Sunday morning on southbound Route 1 near Scudders Mill Road. After pulling over a gold 2003 Ford Explorer truck for speeding, officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle, police said. After performing standardized field sobriety tests, the driver, Mr. Maldonado, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and issued motor vehicles summonses for speeding, reckless driving and maintenance of lamps, police said. He was additionally found to be in possession of a stolen used car dealer license plate, and charged with receiving stolen property. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
   Vito Lore, 39, of Manalapan was charged with DWI on Wednesday after police responded to a report of a suspicious person. Police were dispatched to the parking lot near building two on Sayre Drive for a report of a suspicious person knocking on a resident’s door. Investigation revealed that Mr. Lore was knocking on the wrong door and had driven to the scene while intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a court date.
   A resident of Windrow Drive reported Feb. 17 that several unauthorized debit withdrawals had been made from accounts with two banks, amounting to more than $6,000. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau.
   Two vehicle burglaries and one case of criminal mischief were reported Feb. 16 in the employee parking lot of the Princeton Marriott. Between 4:30 and 9 p.m., front side windows of three vehicles were broken. One vehicle had a GPS unit, valued at $100, and an Ipod, valued at $150, stolen from it, while another vehicle was missing a radar system, valued at $100. The owner of the third vehicle did not report anything missing. The detective bureau processed the cars for evidence and is investigating the thefts.
   An employee of Deloitte Tax LLP reported a case of criminal mischief that occurred between 12:30 and 9 p.m. Feb. 16. Somoene broke the driver’s side window of a 2001 Honda Civic while it was parked in the lot at 750 College Road East. Nothing was reported taken from the car. Damage was estimated at $300. The case is under investigation.
   James Catrambone, 31, of Somerset faces drug charges after a traffic stop Feb. 16 on southbound Route 1. Mr. Catrambone was stopped for several motor vehicle violations, police said. During the stop, it was discovered that heh ad a bag of marijuana and a glass pipe inside the center console of his vehicle, police said. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, drug paraphernalia, speeding, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, unclear plates, tinted windows and failure to keep right.
   George Smith, 50, of Pheasant Hollow Drive, was issued a criminal summons for trespassing. Sometime between 10 p.m. Feb. 12 and 5 a.m. the next day, Mr. Smith entered police headquarters to deliver a letter addressed to Chief Richard Furda, police said. Mr. Smith had been previously warned that his presence at police headquarters is limited to official business only, police said. The letter detailed foods that Mr. Smith deemed safe for human consumption because he feels that, in general, food sources in the area are poisoned. Mr. Smith is free on his own recognizance pending a municipal court appearance.
   Jarius Gillespie, 20, of Edison was arrested during a traffic stop Feb. 13 on Route 1 as a wanted person from the state of Maryland. He was lodged at the Mercer County Correctional Center on a no bail warrant.
   Two juveniles threw an unknown object Feb. 13 through a side window at the Village Store, 410 Plainsboro Road. They retreated and ran through a path at the rear of the store. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau.
   The Electronic Data Solution Company of Plano, Texas, was the victim of a theft that occurred between Jan. 13 and Feb. 12. Six Hewlett-Packard laptops were stolen from a locked room at 777 Scudders Mill Road. Total value of the theft was estimated at $6,600. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau.
   A resident of Quail Ridge drive reported a theft that occurred sometime between 6:55 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 12. The victim’s bicycle and lock, valued at $108, were reported missing. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau.
   A resident of Elsie Drive reported the rear driver’s side door of a 2004 BMW 525 was scratched by unknown means on Feb. 8. Value of the damage is $300. The case is under investigation.
