The Burlington County Library Bordentown Branch Youth Services Department offers a variety of programs. Registration is necessary for all programs. A Burlington County library card is required. Please note that registration begins two weeks prior to the date of the program.
The address for the Bordentown Library is 18 East Union St., Bordentown. Registration can be done in person or by calling 609-298-0622. Library hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For children
Wii for Teens — Get out of the house and get down to the library to play games on our Nintendo Wii. Come hang out and play games like Guitar Hero III, Dance Dance Revolution II, and Playground. The program will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
Toddler Time — Bring your toddlers and join other mothers and caregivers for stories, songs, music, finger plays and socialization activities at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27. For toddlers 16 to 23 months.
Family board games — Thursday, March 5 at 4 p.m. for kids ages 3 years and older. Come with your friends! Come with your families! Come with your favorite board game or play on of ours for an afternoon of brain power.
Infant story time — Friday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. for babies birth to 11 months old. We welcome babies birth to 11 months old, with a caregiver, for stories, songs, movement, music and socialization activities.
Going green — Tuesday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. or Wednesday, March 11 at 10:30am for kids ages 3-6 years old. Green is everywhere! Join us for stories, songs and a green craft.
Chess Club — Wednesday, March 11 and March 25 at 4:30pm for kids 7 years and older. Come to the library for a “pick up” game of chess with your friends and neighbors. Bring your own chess set if you have one.
Saturday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. for families with children 3 years and older. Meet local author Laura Morrone Pedowitz as she reads her new book “The Elephant Who Couldn’t Eat Peanuts.”
Wii for Tweens — Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. for kids ages 8-12 years old. We have Wii! Come and enjoy this popular interactive game system!
Kids’ Music Round with Kelly Golden — Tuesday, Mar. 17 at 10:30am OR 11:30 a.m for babies and children birth to 6 years old. Join us for a fun filled music program with singing, dancing and instruments.
After-school Craft — Thursday, March 19 at 4 p.m. for kids ages 7-12 years old. Get creative! Get crafty! Come join the fun!
Yoga for Babies — Friday, March 20 at 10:15 a.m. for babies 12 to 24 months old. Join Miss Debbie for a yoga session with your little one! Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel or a mat.

For adults
VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program — This program will be available for appointments at the Bordentown Branch Library this year. The appointment hours for the volunteers will be Mondays from 10:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays from 10:15 a.m. to 6:15p.m., and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To take advantage of this free tax service, you must make an appointment in person or by telephone. (No walk-ins.) Prior to your appointment, there is a mandatory IRS form that must be completed. You can pick the form up ahead of time or come fifteen minutes prior to your appointment to complete it. In addition to this form, you (and your spouse) must bring a government issued photo identification, your Social Security Card or Individual Tax Identification number (ITIN), copies of all forms (W-2, 1098, 1099 forms), amounts of any other income, child care provider’s identification number, amounts/dates of estimated or tax payments made, and bank documents showing routing and account numbers if you are requesting direct deposit/debit.
