The Memorial Day Committee which, in the past was a part of the Historical Society is now the Mansfield Veteran’s Association.
The Association is responsible for presenting the Memorial Day Service in May and helping to maintain the small section of the park which contains the Veteran’s Memorial Gazebo. This includes planting flowers, watering the flowers, painting the bell stand, and setting up for the Service in May.
The Association could use some new members to help with this year’s program. Currently, someone is needed to design the program for the Memorial Day Service. The guest speaker and soloist have been reserved for this year. We need people to help set up, give out American flags, etc.
This service will take place on Sunday, May 17. Anyone interested in joining or just helping out for the day should please contact Laverne Cholewa at 609-298-5756.
