State Police are investigating a potential link between recent burglaries in Millstone and Upper Freehold, which have hit residences, vehicles and businesses.
Residents in the area have seen two suspicious vehicles, a blue minivan and a brown vehicle that may be a Buick LeSabre, Sgt. Greg Herbert confirmed this week.
”We don’t have a definitive link,” said Sgt. Herbert.
On Feb. 15, someone stole jewelry from a home on Old York Road in Upper Freehold, State Police said. In a possibly related incident, someone stole jewelry from a home on Stagecoach Road in Millstone on Feb. 3, forcing open first the rear window of a garage, then an interior door.
Several vehicles in Upper Freehold were broken into between Feb 10 and 15, Sgt. Herbert confirmed, and someone stole digital music players, GPS units, satellite radios and other electronics. The vehicles were parked on Arneystown-Hornerstown Road, Heritage Drive, Miers Road and Grant Drive, and Sgt. Herbert said police believe the incidents are related due to their proximity.
Between 11 p.m. Feb. 8 and 5 a.m. Feb. 9 someone broke into Pete’s Deli on Yardville-Allentown Road through a window and stole several thousand dollars in scratch-off lottery tickets, State Police said previously.
Sgt. Herbert declined to discuss the value of stolen items.
