Sincere thanks

Sara Scully, producer, ACME Screening Room
Before the sporadic warmer days turn into the regular and renewing sunny ones of spring and melt away any thoughts of winter, on behalf of the Friends of the Library’s ACME Screening Room, I want to thank the WinterFest Committee, Barbara Fordyce and Blue Raccoon Home Furnishings store (our program’s sponsor), for making the ACME’s participation in WinterFest possible.
Your support and including us in the program resulted in record breaking attendance at the ACME! We sold out both programs, the film and the author reading. This is a testament to the strength of the WinterFest and we are fortunate to have benefited from it. Great job!
Our sold-out WinterFest program was a dynamic duo of Werner Herzog’s film “Encounters at the End of the World,” and author, Susan-Fox Rogers reading from her book, “Antarctic: Life on the Ice,” both meditations on the arctic. This was an excellent line-up, which we could never have presented without the Blue Raccoon’s sponsorship. Thank you for making a great evening of film and creative thought possible at the ACME.
It was Barbara Fordyce’s idea to include the ACME in WinterFest, she reached out to us to participate. So, I’d like to recognize her personally for the work she did to include us and secure the program’s sponsorship. I also want to commend her vision for bringing together our respective community groups. By coming together we can present stronger programs and reinforce our mutual commitment to the cultural life of Lambertville. Thank you, Barbara, for leading us on that path and the Blue Raccoon for making it possible.
