FREEHOLD — A doo-wop concert featuring the Cascades will be held March 7 at 8 p.m. at the Freehold Jewish Center, 59 Broad St.
Known for their versatility and unique vocal lineup, the Cascades have a repertoire that ranges from some of the greatest doowop tunes of the 1950s, the smoothest grooves of classic Motown and R&B, to rockin’ dance hits by the Doobie Brothers and the Rolling Stones.
The band’s mission is to re-create the memories that music holds for every generation.
The Freehold Jewish Center serves the community with various social activities throughout the year. Part of the proceeds of the concert will go toward building repairs and providing improved handicap accessibility.
Bingo is played twice weekly by area residents, which includes many senior citizens who would welcome the thought of easier access into the building, according to temple officials.
