The Cranbury Public Library is kicking off its Wii Tournament League on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Participants earn points by competing — you’ll receive 4 points just for showing up! Each month, beginning February, the Library will hold one tournament. Each participant will be awarded points based on how they place. In the end, the player with the most points overall will be the Grand Champion!
Gamers can also earn bonus points each month by being the first person to correctly solve the library’s tournament puzzle. To participate, you must register for the league. A Katrina Relief Jazz Concert benefiting Carver High School in the North Ward of New Orleans. featuring jazz impresario Wycliffe Gordon, takes place Saturday, February 28 at 2 p.m. in the PHS performing arts center. The Princeton High School Studio Band will open the program.
My Eden: The Art of Diana Ornberg opens at the Gourgaud Gallery with a Meet the Artist reception on Sunday, March 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. Ms. Ornberg works in oils and latex and is a graduate of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. My Eden will remain on display through March 29. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the first, third and last Sunday of the month from 1 to 3 p.m.
The First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury is hosting a Family Game Night on Sunday, March 1, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The night promises to be great family fun for all ages! Bring your favorite games, children and friends. Please also bring a pizza, a bucket of chicken, or a casserole if you feel like cooking. Dessert and beverages will be provided by the Congregational Life Committee. You don’t have to play. Come, watch the competition and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome.
Pat Stehn is coordinating the 4th Annual Prom/Party Dress Drive locally, for St. Paul’s Church (Princeton) Youth Group. The group is looking for gently used party dresses, any size and any style. The youth group will bring the dresses and any donated accessories to needy young women at Central High School in Trenton. The Stehn’s note, “If you have donated in the past please know that the happiness you have helped deliver is immeasurable.” The drive runs until March 31. The Cranbury Education Foundation’s annual craft show is just around the corner. The show will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, the 8th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations of baked goods and Indian food items are still being accepted. Please bring baked goods to the school on Friday, March 6, after 3 p.m., or Saturday morning, March 7.
The juried crafters offer a wonderful and varied selection of quality handmade items. Princeton HealthCare System will offer a presentation on high blood pressure, led by Dr. Vadim Finkielstein, on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. The presentation will be held at the Four Seasons Cranbury Clubhouse, One Labaw Drive.
