CELEBRATE PURIM WITH BEATLES AND CARNIVAL AT HAR SINAI

 PENNINGTON  The joyous Purim holiday is called Jewish Mardi Gras or Jewish Halloween. At Har Sinai Temple, 2421 Pennington Rd., in Pennington, the holiday that commemorates the Jews being saved from extermination in Persia, will be celebrated with a carnival and a Beatles "purimshpiel.” musical show March 8 and 9. You don’t have to belong to the congregation to attend and there is no admission. The Sunday, March 8, carnival at Har Sinai will run from 10 a.m. to noon and include costumes, games, good, prizes, fortune telling, sand painting and Hamenstashen cookies. There’s even a prize for best parent costume.  There’s no age limit for attendees and costumes are optional. Purim festivities continue at Har Sinai on March 9 at 7 p.m. with "A Beatles Purim” performed by the "Not Quite Ready for Prime Time Players” directed by Ben Gruder.
