Four residents filed for the three open spots on the Board of Education so far, though residents have until 4 p.m. Monday to submit the paperwork allowing them to appear on the April 21 election ballot.
Seats held by incumbents Steven Paget, Marc Rosenberg and David Lin will be open during elections. Of the three, Mr. Paget and Mr. Rosenberg filed for re-election, according to Business Administrator and Board Secretary Aiman Mahmoud.
Residents Thomas Kinst and David Wald have also filed for the election as well.
Residents running for Board of Education seats must be at least 18 years old, citizens of the United States, must be able to read and write, cannot be disqualified as a voter under New Jersey State Law, must be a resident of Hillsborough for at least a year, and must be registered to vote in Hillsborough.
To file for election, residents must complete a nominating petition, and get signatures from 12 registered voters, Mr. Mahmoud said.
