They’re wailin’ in Orlando … Princeton High School jazz and studio band members performed during the inaugural Disney Jazz Celebration on Friday, Feb 20. The Princeton group competed against other high school ensembles for top honors at the Walt Disney World Resort. ‘We decided to participate in the Disney Jazz Celebration this year because of the educational benefits that it provided our students,’ said Princeton High School band director Joe Bongiovi. ‘To have the opportunity to listen to jazz greats such as Arturo Sandoval and participate in master classes with Bob Mintzer is a monumental experience our students will never forget. Every band was a winner in this experience Disney provided for us, before any trophies were handed out.’ The Disney Jazz Celebration has been endorsed by the National Association for Music Education
