HILLSBOROUGH: Six vying for three school board seats

Six residents have filed for the three, three-year seats in this year’s Board of Education balloting.
Seats held by incumbents Steven Paget, Marc Rosenberg, and David Lin will be open for this year’s election. Mr. Paget, Mr. Rosenberg, Thomas Kinst, Nicholas Pampani, Barbara Sargent, and David Wald have filed for spots on the April 21 election ballot.
While Gov. John Corzine extended the filing deadline for board petitions when Monday’s inclement weather closed many districts, Hillsborough received no additional petitions during that time. Initially, residents had until 4 p.m. Monday to file for the April election; the governor extended the deadline to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
To file for election, residents must complete a nominating petition, and get signatures from 12 registered voters, Mr. Mahmoud said.
