Public meeting and business card exchange at Mansion Inn
The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce will hold its public meeting and business card exchange at the Mansion Inn on March 10 from 6:30-8 p.m. In addition to providing a forum for networking with Chamber members, the card exchanges offer the local business community information on various events and opportunities.
Guest speakers will include representatives from the New Hope-Solebury Education Fund and New Hope Celebrates.
Located at 9 S. Main St., the Mansion Inn will offer participants a three-course dinner menu following the meeting at a special discounted price. Reservations are requested at 215-862-1231. The meeting includes complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
The New Hope-Solebury Education Fund is soliciting applications for grants from teachers at all levels of instruction at the New Hope-Solebury School District. The fund is an independent, broad-based nonprofit organization established to secure community resources in support of educational excellence and enrichment for the students of the New Hope-Solebury School District. Volunteer representatives will offer Chamber members information about participation.
Daniel Brooks, president of New Hope Celebrates, will provide information about the GLBT pride weekend set for May 15-17.
The Chamber will present specifics regarding its annual meeting and elections on March 31 at New Hope Arts Center, as well as details on current activities and plans for the future.
According to Chamber President Louis Licitra, “The annual meeting and elections are only open to Chamber members. Businesses still have time to become members of the Chamber, learn about current initiatives and solidify any new memberships prior to elections. It’s also important for members and potential members to know that in 2008, the Chamber Board voted to raise the general membership to $150 beginning April 1, 2009, but in lieu of the recent economic downturn, we revoted in February to rescind that decision and to maintain the membership fee at $125 annually.”
The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote the economic, civil, commercial, cultural, artistic, historical and educational interests of the area. For more information, visit www.NewHopeChamber.com or call 215-862-9990.
