PRESS RELEASE

THE SHORT TREE…” IS TAKING ROOT IN BORDENTOWN

The children’s theater production, The Short Tree and the Bird That Could Not Sing, will be performed at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 4th. Tickets are $6.00, and can be reserved on the theater’s website, www.bordentownpac.org, or by calling 609-496-1452. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
Based on the famous picture book by Dennis Foon, The Short Tree and the Bird That Could Not Sing tells the tale of a tree who resents his roots and a bird with the worst singing voice in the history of avians. The quirky fable follows two unlikely forces of nature: a spunky, unflappable bird and a stunted, loveable tree, brought to life through the art of bright, colorful puppetry.
The Short Tree is a heartfelt tale for young children and their parents to enjoy together, and runs just under an hour in length. This touring production is presented by First Stages of Camden County College.
The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School, and is located at 318 Ward Avenue in Bordentown, NJ.
