West Amwell Township police report:
— On Feb. 17 at 1:33 p.m., police investigated a car/deer crash on Route 179 near Cedar Crest Drive. Dorothy Ballestero, 68, of Morristown, was traveling south when she struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed. Patrolman Timothy Vanselous investigated.
— On Feb. 18, at approximately 11:20 p.m., police investigated a report of a vehicle off the roadway in a field on Route 179 just north of Queen Road. After the initial investigation, Patrolman John Ennis Jr. charged Bernadett Maher, 50, of Ringoes, with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. She was released to a friend after processing.
— On Feb. 20, at 1:20 p.m., Ketan Rajiv Patel, 23, of Lansdale, Pa., turned himself into police headquarters after receiving notification that an active traffic warrant had been issued for him by Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Mr. Patel was processed and released after posting $250 cash bail. Lt. Stephen Barizak took him into custody.
— On Feb. 21, at approximately 1:38 p.m., Jonathan M. Weed, 30, of Ewing Township, was taken into custody by Patrolman Edward Skillman while on a motor vehicle stop on Route 29 near Old River Road. A computer check revealed an active traffic warrant issued out of Flemington Municipal Court. Mr. Weed was processed and released on $106 bail.
— On Feb. 22, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Laura Salender, 25, of Ottsville Pa., was stopped on Route 29 for an expired vehicle registration. Ms. Salender was subsequently taken into custody by Patrolman Edward Skillman after a computer check revealed two active traffic warrants out of Milford Joint Municipal Court. Ms. Salender also was charged with possession of under 50 grams of suspected marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia. She was processed and released on $393 bail.
