Nancy Furino, Hillsborough
I am writing to support Thomas Kinst for a seat on the Board of Education on April 21.
In this economy, as many of our neighbors are losing their jobs and facing an uncertain future, it isn unconscionable that our current board keeps raising spending and property taxes.
Last year, our school district received an increase of $4 million in state aid that was supposed to lower our school tax levy. Instead, the incumbents spent the money, and still raised our taxes. They just don’t get it.
It’s time we had board members who understand that we need to spend our tax dollars wisely and efficiently. It’s time for an independent change for our school board.
That’s why I’m voting for Thomas Kinst, whom I’ve known for eight years. He has the common sense that w eneed on the board.
As a parent of school children, he is committed to excellence in our schools.
And he has the professional background to ensure the highest quality education so our kids are prepared for the workforce of the 21st Century.
He is the independent leader we need. Please join me in voting for Thomas Kinst on April 21.
