About Rein Triefeldt, Back2Tap, Kieanna Childs Alexander
Rein Triefeldt (www.triefeldt.com) is thought to be the first kinetic sculptor to make use of solar panels in order to create motion in his sculpture. Triefeldt has specialized in kinetic sculpture since 1986. The art focuses on the rich but largely uncharted realms of light, rhythm, balance and motion. The interactive and playful elements of Triefeldt’s work make it a popular choice for art and science museums, public parks and gardens. His commissioned public art can be found in many collections around the world.
Back2Tap’s (www.back2tap.com) mission is to reduce the waste generated from the production and distribution of bottled water and water-based products in disposable plastic bottles. Lydia Chambers, one of the company’s founders, is working with BOOST founder Tim Razzaq in conducting a campaign to assist consumers in purchasing Back2Tap’s We Are BOOST Stainless Steel Bottles (BOOST Eco-Bottles). Proceeds from all purchases will cover cash awards for We Are BOOST Contest to Camp CURE Youth Arts, Poetry, and Prose Contest.
Kieanna was born and raised in Trenton New Jersey and was educated in the gifted and talented program in the city of Trenton. She received her Associates in Arts and a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Applied Social Science from Rider University. She currently attends Liberty University and is scheduled to receive a Masters of Arts in Human Services with a specialization in Executive Leadership in May 2009.
