    Tonight (March 12) is the opening night for “The Beauty and the Beast” being presented at Florence Township. Memorial High School, 1050 Cedar Lane, at 7 p.m., Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for Senior Citizens and students. You may call the school for any information. The show will also take place tomorrow evening, Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14.

   Please feel welcome to join the Florence Township Community Bible Study every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Sterling House Assisted Living Center on Broad Street, just past the Municipal Building.    The first alumni game of Florence High School Baseball’s Diamond Club takes place on March 21 at noon at Veteran’s Park. Registration is $20, which includes a T-shirt, hot dog, and drink at the game A Meet and Greet the coaches for parents will follow the event from 6 – 9 p.m. at Marconi Lodge. A $20 donation will be collected at the door. For alumni participating in both events the combined donation is $30. Flashes baseball apparel and hats will be on sale during the evening.    Roast pork and sauerkraut dinner at the Florence U.M. Church, Second and Broad streets, with all the trimmings on Saturday, March 21. Adult tickets are $15, Children ages 4-12 are $6. We promise you a super delicious meal.

   A comedy night is being held on Saturday, March 21, 6:30 p.m. at McGrath Hall of Sts. Francis and Clare Parish, Roebling. Tickets include performance by three professional comedians, buffet dinner, beer and wine for $35 per person.
