The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will be hosting several events during March. On March 15 at 3 p.m., pianists Alan Wasserman and Brenna Berman will present a classical piano program of Beethoven, Ravel, Granados, Chopin and Mendelssohn.
Wasserman has appeared at the museum before, most recently at a holiday program in which he delighted listeners with selections from his wide classical, jazz, and popular song repertoire.
Berman, who is making her first appearance at the museum, is also conversant with a variety of musical genres. She began hermusical studies at age 5 and has been performing since the age of 7. As an Artists International New York Debut Award winner, she made her formal New York debut at Carnegie Hall in 2008.

"Six Brilliant Points on the Star of David" will be presented by guest lecturer Mildred Goodwin on March 16 at 2 p.m. at the museum. The first of a series of three lectures planned for this spring, the discussion will focus on six influential Jewish leaders of the 20th century.
Goodwin, a professor emerita of New Jersey City University, Jersey City, often speaks under the auspices of the Jewish Historical Society of Central New Jersey. Her topics deal with cinema, theater, literature and Jewish life. The March 16 lecture is open to the public, free of charge.
On March 22 from 2-3:30 p.m., the museum will be screening the award-winning documentary "Watermarks," which tells the inspiring story of the champion women swimmers of the legendary Hakoah (The strength) Vienna Sports Club whose athletes achieved international fame in the 1930s and whomanaged to escape fromAustria just before the Holocaust engulfed that nation’s Jewish population. The Israeli film is in English, Hebrew, and German (with English subtitles) Admission is $5 for museum members, $7 for nonmembers.
On exhibit at the museum until April 12 is "Purity of Expression: The Art of Sally Asa," Hanukkiyot of the Diaspora, and menorahs and mezuzot created by area children.
