LAWRENCE: Police blotter from the March 12 edition

Vandals smashed the windows on a 2004 Lexus and a 2007 Toyota belonging to a Princeton Avenue resident while the cars were parked in his driveway between 9 p.m. March 7 and 12:30 a.m. March 8, police said. Damage was estimated at $400 for the Lexus and $200 for the Toyota.
    A Rider University student, who lives in Randolph, reported the theft of $2 in cash, a bank debit card and a cell phone worth $400 from an unlocked locker in the men’s locker room while he was working out at the Rider University Student Recreation Center gym between 9:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. March 5, police said.
    The A-frame sign that advertises Dino’s Café at the office park, at 3131 Princeton Pike, was reported stolen between 8:09 p.m. March 4 and 7 a.m. March 5, police said. The sign had been left at the Franklin Corner Road entrance to the office park. It was valued at $230.
    Tironia P. Stokes, 18, of Weber Avenue, in Ewing, and a 17-year-old Ewing Township boy were charged with receiving stolen property after police said they took clothing, cosmetics and jewelry worth a combined $352 from four stores at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 6:03 p.m. March 4.
    The duo were observed removing security sensors from the items by employees at the American Eagle, Hot Topic, Old Navy, Forever 21 and Aeropostale stores, police said. Ms. Stokes was released on a summons, and the boy was released to his mother’s custody.
    A Trenton resident reported the theft of his black leather jacket, valued at $175, from the sunroom at the Slackwood Elementary School between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 3, police said.
    An 11-year-old Trenton boy was charged with shoplifting and possession of burglar tools — a box cutter — after a Sears loss prevention officer saw him use the box cutter to remove two MP3 players and a Sony memory card from the packaging and hide them under his jacket, according to police. The items were valued at a combined $139.97. He was released to his father’s custody.
    Two jewelry boxes containing an assortment of jewelry worth $1,000 were taken from the master bedroom in a Spring Beauty Drive residence between 9:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. March 3, police said. The burglar kicked in the front door to gain entry, causing $600 worth of damage to the doorframe and the lock.
