PLUMSTED — Six candidates are running for three seats on the local Board of Education, which will expand from five to seven seats after the April 21 election.
Joanna Barlow of New Egypt, a member of the board since April 2006 and board president since May 2007, is running for re-election to her seat.
Ms. Barlow is running as a team with Richard Roach and Robin Witkowski, both eight-year residents of New Egypt with children in the district.
Also running are Keith Buckalew, Jon Hauge and Christopher Probasco, all of New Egypt, according to Superintendent Mark DeMareo.
