SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Student arrested on weapons charge

   An 18-year-old South Brunswick High School student was arrested on weapons charges last week after he was found by school officials to be in possession of a knife, according to police.
   Robert Spahr, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon on school property, which are indictable offenses, according to police.
   March 4, Student Resource Officer Pete Burdick was alerted to a concern by school officials that Mr. Spahr was carrying a prohibited weapon. Detective Burdick investigated the report and found Mr. Spahr to be in possession of a butterfly knife, according to police.
   Detective Burdick arrested Mr. Spahr and took him to police headquarters for processing. Mr. Spahr was released without bail pending arraignment.
