AROUND TOWN: Princeton realtor to receive church honor

    The Knights of Columbus, Princeton Council 636, will hold its annual Communion Breakfast on Sunday, March 22, with 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. Paul’s Church in Princeton followed by a breakfast at 10 a.m. at the Princeton Elks Club, located on Route 518, Montgomery.
    The breakfast program will include the presentation of the Father Michael V. Farren Award to Norberto Perez, a member of St. Paul’s Parish. Mr. Perez has provided many years of dedicated service to the Princeton community and to St. Paul’s Parish.
    Mr. Perez, a resident of Princeton, is a partner in the Hector Olaya Real Estate firm. He is well known as an active volunteer in the Princeton community as well as within the parish. He has been an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1997, where he serves as Division Staff Officer of Operations with the responsibility of directing the Delaware River activities of other civilian volunteers.
    Mr. Perez is a eucharistic minister at St. Paul’s Church and a board member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, where he serves as the society’s liaison with the Hispanic community. He is a Past Grand Knight of the Princeton Knights of Columbus Council 636 and serves on the board of trustees.
    “Norbert not only looks for opportunities to change peoples’ lives for the better through his involvements in volunteer groups, he has helped people in the course of his work as a real estate broker here in the Princeton community. He has become well known as a person who would eagerly step forward to assist organizations or people who may need his assistance,” said John Butler, Grand Knight of Princeton Council 636.
