Calling all artists 5th Annual BAC Juried Art Show

Show is open to all artists age 17 and older

 Belmar, NJ, March 12, 2009 – A call to all artists for submission of their work for the 5th Annual Belmar Arts Council (BAC) Juried Exhibition. Exhibiting work in all media, the show is open to all artists age 17 and older. Marie Maber, Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Brookdale Community College will be the juror.
Works for submission will be received on Friday, March 27 from 5 PM to 8 PM and Saturday, March 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM at The Boatworks which is located at 608 River Road, adjacent to the Municipal Building.
The opening reception will take place on Saturday, April 4th from 3 PM to 5 PM during which awards will be presented for Best In Show and best in various media, including: Painting; Graphic Media (Drawing & Printmaking); Photography; Three-Dimensional Art and Mixed Media.
Artists should note that all artwork must be original and not previously exhibited in a BAC show. Two pieces per artist may be entered with the maximum of one piece to be accepted for exhibition. Acceptance is not guaranteed. The entry fee is $15 per piece for non-members or $10 per piece for BAC members. Sales of work are encouraged but not required. Dues, donations and grants fund the Belmar Arts Council’s programs. BAC’s events are made possible in part by the Monmouth County Arts Council through funding from the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, through the County Historical Commission, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
