A Hillsborough Township Police Department investigation into a prostitution complaint ended in the arrest of nine people, four of them from Hillsborough, from a home on Route 206 Wednesday.
Mardonio Reyes-Fierro, 34, and Marco Solis-Ramos, 24, both of Hillsborough, were charged with fourth-degree possession of a fraudulent government document and soliciting prostitution. They both were transported to Somerset County Jail.
Pedro Olivera-Espana, 31, of Hillsborough, was charged with third-degree promoting prostitution and was lodged in Somerset County Jail.
Claudio Ortiz-Garcia, 50, of Hillsborough, was charged with soliciting prostitution and was released.
Carlos Quiles, 33, and Silvia Rios, 42, both of New Brunswick, were charged with fourth-degree promoting prostitution. They were both transported to Somerset County Jail.
Chave Perez, 26, of New Brunswick, was charged with prostitution and released.
Ana Ochoa, 21, and Victoria Ceca, 20, both of New Brunswick, were charged with prostitution and released.
According to police, a citizen filed a complaint at 11:46 a.m., saying prostitution was taking place at the residence. When they arrived at the home, police said they discovered it was a rental property with an absent landlord residing at a different location in Hillsborough.
Police said they discovered the nine people in the home, some living there and others not. They were taken into custody after it was determined prostitution was taking place in the residence.
Police still are investigating the incident.
